Backup Electricity

You won’t be in Bali very long before you probably experience some kind of power outage.  This will be particularly evident the further away you get from Kuta and the airport.

 

In order to combat this problem.  The locals have installed backup generation systems on street corners and in their back gardens.   Whenever the power goes out, a guy with a torch will run out to one of these things and fire it up.
